There are some significant cultural differences between the Krajs. Many are less apparent than others, but in Moravia they have their own accent and dialect. It is painful to learn Czech language in Prague. This pain is even worse when traveling south and realizing not that you do not know the first thing in Czech. To add insult to injury, Moravians use a different dialect and have a different accent.

The Moravian dialect is compatible so I am told. It is almost impossible for a student of Czech language to understand. Even the five lovely forms of conjugations get modified. Possibly the accent is understandable, but the new verb forms become confusing. At least they tend to use the same number system as in Bohemia. So five beers (pět piv) are still easy enough to order, they usually come in helpful as translators. Especially, in Brno where thy shrug when you ask which way to the tramvaj.
